The project answered to the severe consequences of the military tension in Sulaymaniyah, which have caused displacements, insecurity and limited the return of families. The teenagers and children need professional training and inclusive education to promote the stability and the riconstruction of the community. It is fundamental to guarantee a safe transport for the children attending lessons outside of the displacement camps, facilitating the access to education.

With the purchase and the maintenance of a bus for the safe transport of students, the Association has also supported the formation of drivers on safety regulations and the protection of children's rights, and the offering of professional and linguistic innovative courses such as Peace-leader and Eco-Tourism, opened to displaced people and kurd and arabic teenagers.

 

The project involved local partners like the monastic community of Deir Maryam al-Adhra and associations like School for Children, creating meeting spaces between displaced teenagers and residents to strenghten the social cohesion. A psychologic support is also planned to deal with trauma of the conflict.​
