The “Punto a capo” project aims to give young people a physical and mentally safe space to facilitate dialogue and cultivate interpersonal relations, to help in their integration's path and the development of personal skills and resources. The goal is to live this new reality as best as possible, and proceed in elaborating their new projects of life.
"Punto a capo" is made of a network of volunteers and young people who offer their skills to support young foreigners with different goals :
strengthening of their linguistic-communicative skills, support in the search for a job, job orientation, support in the bureaucratic procedures necessary for their integration on the territory.
Language strenghtening Italian lessons
One of our most successful projects are the Italian lessons.
Volunteers and students with pedagogical / psychological training help foreign people who need to deepen their knowledge of Italian.
The workshops are structured like language lessons : each meeting lasts 1 hour and consists in a part of grammar and a part of conversation, in order to consolidate skills both in the morphological-syntactic and in the communicative-lexical fields.
The courses are filled with people of all ages, with different language skills and needs that vary according to how long they have been in Italy and their educational background.
The sessions take place in classes of more or less 5 people, or online, in individual meetings, usually once per week.
